A friend from
Ann Arbor and I are contemplating a longish ride up the St Lawrence Seaway on
both sides - as far as Matane and crossing on the ferry.
We are
looking at a max of 6 people total - people who are easy to get on with and
have reliable bikes.
The time will be sometime in August and there will be 2 long days - first and last.
Thinking
about a Friday to the following Sunday (10 days total), two long days, one at
each end. Detroit to Lake Placid area (near 600 miles depending on route), and
Montreal to Detroit - 577 miles). Gives plenty of time to take it easy from
there.
Staying in
cheap motels, sightseeing as we can, visiting a Bike Museum on the way.
Probably not
pre-booking too much - taking our chances as we go.
